Turning old ivy into sunshine

Yay!!! I finally painted my kitchen. Wait, you don’t understand. Since we moved into our little house, there is nothing I have wanted to do more than re-do the walls and colors in the kitchen. If you walked into my kitchen and saw the ivy wall-papered refrigerator, you would start to understand. Everytime someone comes over, it’s “OH WOW did you do that to your fridge??” Well we haven’t gotten a new fridge yet, but back to the walls. Basically there was an old ivy border all around the top of the walls which took about 6 hours (and two friends) to get off, starting Friday night, ending Saturday night.

Spraying, scraping, peeling, sanding, washing, taping, and the painting began! I have always wanted a yellow kitchen, but I have to admit this is about two shades brighter than what I was originally thinking. But I think I’ll like it more after a few days. Lukas had my camera all day Saturday at a wedding, but luckily my friend had her little camera so I could post some of the painting fun! Thank you Reese, Alaina, Hannah, and Natalie for your help!
