Travis & Rosalie engagement~ Venice Beach, CA

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

Well, it’s finally come to that point. My big brother, or “brutho” as I like to call him, is getting married. His wife-to-be was hand-picked for him by his two younger sisters as soon as they met. They just didn’t know it. Travis is not only my brother, he’s my close friend. He’s steady, honest, and hilarious. He’s a great listener, loves his family, and his Lord. Rosalie is darling. Also a close friend. She has the cutest expressions and a very giving personality. I can’t wait to see how God works through them as a married couple!

Bubs, you’re finally gettin’ hitched! Thar! Roseeeee, our scheme worked! Yay! ; ) Much, much, much love to you both.

Aren’t they just too cute…

*FAV!*

Feets!

Rosalie’s laughing was just too adorable. I guess Trav’s humor is funny to her, too.

I have never seen my brother with such a “Look what I have that you don’t have” expression. And Rosie’s is pretty much the same..!

I specifically took this picture for my hubs. It just had Lukas written all over it.

Tiptoes!

Awwwwww

Soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Green!

Travis & Rosalie: Engagement Preview - Venice Beach

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

On the fourth of July of this year, more happened in my family for celebration besides fireworks. Or maybe I should say a different sort of fireworks occurred. Am I hinting deeply enough yet? Ok, here’s another… Lukas and I are expecting an addition to the family. No, we’re not expecting a baby. But I’M GETTING A NEW SISTER!!!

My brother, Travis proposed and was accepted by Rosalie Mae on July 4th, 2010 in Atlanta, GA to the excitement of family and friends. Yesterday I had a lot of fun going to the beach and hanging out with them as well as taking some engagement photos. So enjoy the preview, the appetizer that I hope makes you hunger for more, I know it does for me!

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

Woo hoo! It has been a crazy busy week with photo deadlines, Headshots, Senior Photos, graduations, family back in town, and baby showers. But finally I was able to sit down and work on what I really wanted to do: Jeremy and Jessica’s engagement photos from last Friday!

Less than 25 days ’til your wedding!!!

Jeremy & Jessica Preview

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Jeremy and Jessica are practically family to me and Lukas, and we are so excited that their wedding is less than five weeks away! Although we already did one session (view here and here) I wanted to do a few more photos. Their wedding will be my the first one I shoot without Lukas (who is one of the groomsmen) and I wanted to try out some new ideas. Love you guys!

Allison & Nate esession, Iowa

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

It’s hard to believe that just two weeks ago Lukas and I were shooting Nate & Alison’s wedding. The day before their wedding we did some fun engagement photos, the craziest being in a car junk yard! I remember telling Lukas, “there’s no way we would get away with this in L.A…!” Sometimes the midwest has it’s perks. Enjoy a few from the esession, and I’ll have some from the wedding up tomorrow!

The hubs!

Five months & an e-session

Monday, March 8th, 2010

As of today, I have been married 5 months. Right after I got married, I remember when one of my newly-wed friends hit her “5 months mark”, and I thought, wow time flies! There is nothing particularly special about 5 months, I know. But as I think of how I am still adjusting to married life, I thank the Lord for these months He’s given me so far.

Right before I got married, I asked my soon-to-be-sister in law how the first year of marriage was. Was it as hard as people say? Are you in la-la land the whole time? I remember her saying, “Well, marriage gets better each month.” I think about how I’ve grown in these few short months and I have to agree. It seems that you adjust, grow, get blessed, and then the cycle repeats. But each time the adjusting is easier and the blessing is more abundant!

Lukas, I love you! Thank you for being the patient, caring, sensitive, wonderful husband that you are. You are the love of my life!!!

So I don’t go two posts in a row with no pictures to show for it, here are some e-session pics from a shoot in Fillmore. Josh & Michelle, your love for each other is so evident! I can’t wait for your wedding!

The Salton Sea, and an engagement shoot

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Ok, so I should have posted these photos awhile ago, but I broke my card reader while trying to post them and never got back to it. But better late than never! Don’t you love when two people you know and love independently end up getting married? I met Jessica over a year ago when she crashed on my couch while visiting LA.

I invited her to Resolved, and was so excited when she told me she was going! But I was so busy working at the conference that I didn’t get to hang out with her much, and so feeling guilty, I had to leave her to hang out with my friends. But I don’t feel guilty now because one of the friends was Jeremy, and now they are getting married!

The Salton Sea is one of the strangest places I have ever been. There were strange sights, smells, and people. It is like a half-ghost town in most places. Lukas described it well!
