Life as a Suzal

I have been good friends with the Garwoods for quite a few years. I was on a Missions trip to Croatia with Tom when he got to bring his now 4 year old son home from Africa. So it was very special when I got to meet the latest Garwood addition, Finnegan Seamus, a few weeks after he was born!

Sadly it got too hot - 109 degrees - so I only got one good pic of baby. But I love how these came out, thanks Garwoods for takin’ the heat!

Hunter has the best smile!

Today was a hot day. An extremely hot day. After about five minutes of picture taking, Tom, Yetta, and I looked at eachother and said, “whew!” Yetta later told me that it got up to 109 degrees in the shade where we were. However, the intense heat did not stop us from getting some very FUN family photos! I love the Garwoods!

My friend Melissa just had a baby 10 days ago, and he is too cute! While I was visiting her today I couldn’t help but snap a few pics. But I can’t say it is the first time I’ve photographed him, because technically I photographed him when I did the Pidal family portraits a few months ago!

Congratulations Melissa & Gus!

Last Friday I woke up to a very rainy day. Usually rain doesn’t bug me, but considering the fact that all week I had been looking forward to taking pictures of the Pidal family, I was bummed. So we decided to try to wait out the rain until Monday, and I was so happy to wake up this morning to a sunny and (relatively) warm day! Gotta love SoCal!

I have known Gus and Melissa for four plus years, and they have been a huge influence in my growth as a Christian. Melissa befriended me when I first moved out to Cali, and Gus was the Bible Study Pastor at mine and Lukas’ Bible Study while we were dating. I am so excited that they are expecting another baby this summer! While Melissa was pregnant with Cael, I called him “Lil’ P”, and so all today I was trying to think of what to call this new Lil’ Pidal. But all I can think of is “Lil’er P”! I suppose I’ll have to wait til I hold him.

Thank you Gus, Melissa, and Cael for letting me use you all as guinea pigs for my first family photoshoot! I had a BLAST with you guys running around in the park! ; )
